RISHMA'S 2023 SPONSORSHIP UPDATE
WHO WE ARE
The AnRu Foundation was started by sisters Anya and Ruhi in 2017.
We are dedicated to raising money to provide the funds for young girls growing up in India to attend school. These girls can not afford the education they deserve and we have the power to guide and support them from kindergarten to graduation. We raise money for the girls of the future, who depend on us to help them change the world.
Since 2019, we have been working with Shanti Bhavan Children's Project based in India and fully sponsoring the education of Rishma who started Kindergarten that year. Rishma is the daughter of a tempo driver and coolie and would likely not have had access to a grounded education under normal circumstances.
ANYA
Hello, My name is Anya. I'm 18 years old and I am in twelfth grade. I attend high school in New York City. All throughout my life, I have had the privilege of attending school regardless of my gender. I quickly realized that not all young girls have the same privilege and the same access as I do. My parents grew up in India, a place where the education of young girls is deprioritized, my sister Ruhi and I set out to help change this. This foundation raises money to sponsor the education of young girls at the Shanti Bhavan School. We look forward to helping young women reach their education goals.
RUHI
Hello, I am Ruhi. I am 15 years old and I'm in ninth grade. I attend high school in New York City. I have never had to worry about my education being put at risk because of my gender. Not all girls have that advantage. Along with my sister Anya, we strive to give young girls the education they deserve. I am excited to see AnRu Foundation grow and give opportunities to underprivileged girls in India. With the donations we collect, we can support girls from kindergarten through graduation. I am determined to keep girls exited to learn so they can have a successful and provident future.
